IBPS PO/Mgt Trainees Exam Pattern Details: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection – IBPS conducting Common Written Examination (CWE) for Probationary Officers (PO) / Management Trainees for 19 national banks twice in a year. IBPS Common written examination exam pattern details given below…
Common Written Examination consists of two parts, one is objective type and second one is Descriptive paper total no. of questions is 250 and total marks 250, duration of 150 minutes for objective type questions and 60 minutes for Descriptive paper. There will be Negative Marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer in objective type Exam. IBPS CWE Scorecards will be sent to the qualified candidates by Speed Post/Register Post. IBPS CWE Scorecard has validity of 1 year. Candidates can apply to the Bank notifications with the Scorecard.

SBI PO Syllabus details:
SBI PO Syllabus is of two ways as 1.Written test and 2.Group Discussion and Interview.
1. Written test: This test is of 2 papers as
a. Objective paper: This paper consists of 4 sections such as
1. Test of English Language.
2. Test of General Awareness., Marketing and Computers
3. Test of data analysis and interpretation.
4. Test of Reasoning.
b. Descriptive Paper: This paper is of comprehension, short précis, letter writing and essay.
2. Group discussion and Interview: Candidate who have qualified in the written examination will be called for group discussion and interview depending up on the vacancies in each category, subject to maximum of 3 times of the vacancies.

Ans: Objective paper is of 4 sections as Test of English Language, Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers, Test of data analysis and interpretation and Test of Reasoning.

Q: What is this test conducted for?

A: Pass in degree is the only educational qualification.No specific percentage.

Q: I have not received degree yet.Can I apply with provisional certificate?

A: The common bank exam (written test) for PO jobs will be conducted twice a year(once in six months).So you could register for the exam in the next phase.

Q: Will banks conduct any other test for PO recruitment?
A: No.Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks in this all India common bank exam would be given scorecards, valid for 1 year. Each public bank will announce PO vacancies mentioning eligibility, test score etc.Those who have the specified score & meet eligibility conditions can apply,following which the bank will shortlist applicants for GD or Interview process.

Q: Can i change the details entered in online application?

Q: What books can be referred to prepare?

IBPS FIRST COMMON EXAM FOR PO's & MANAGEMENT TRAINEES


The announcement of common test for recruitment into public sector banks has finally arrived.The national level exams are to be conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for which scores would be awarded.

Posts: The common test is for recruitment of Probationary Officer or Management Trainee vacancies that arise in 19 public banks -  Allahabad Bank,Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India,Corporation Bank, Dena bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Syndicate Bank, Union Bank of India, United Bank of India, UCO Bank & Vijaya Bank.

Dates: Online application registration: July 9 - August 1 ,2011

Common written test: September 18, 2011

Eligibility conditions to apply for common written test, as on 1.07.2011

 Age to be minimum: 20 yrs & maximum: 30 yrs
 

 Qualification: Must have a degree in any discipline from a recognized university

Test pattern for common bank exam is same as previous banking recruitments with Objective & Descriptive papers for a total of 250 marks.For every wrong answer in objective test, 0.25 would be reduced as negative mark.

Scorecards: IBPS will send scorecards (valid for 1 year) by post to those who have  taken the test.Banks looking to recruit PO/ MT will notify eligibility (age, education, test score etc) & candidates who satisfy it have to apply for that bank by giving their  IBPS test score & other details.

Application: Fee of Rs.50 (SC/ST) or Rs.450 (others) for common test have to be paid online (credit/ debit cards) or through NEFT payment at any branch of banks mentioned above before July 30. After obtaining payment receipt, applicants can submit their application online at www.ibps.in for which you would receive a registration number & password in email/SMS. It is necessary to upload your signature & photo along with the online application
